These OMAKASE finishes are always our favourites and often yours. This one spent a little time at Seabass before making its way back to its owner and was very well received.

For this one, we took the customer’s Pinterest references which had loads of colours and rainbows and interacting shapes and just went with the mayhem!

The main body colour is a custom made metallic black. The delicate MASON downtube branding is replaced in a crisp, flat Porsche grey. Mason frames typically have a flourish o the back of the seat the so we kept this detail in the form of close knit rainbow pinstripes which frame the Mason M/Crown logo in a thick, bold white.

The main feature of the finish of course is the floating shapes and lines which adorn the front end of the frame and fork. These are made up of illustrated globular shapes we made and dotted around the bike to imply wobbly movement and a playful interaction of colour. Each of these coloured blobs has a partner ring with a matching outline silhouette floating slightly offset over it. This gives the appearance of depth and overlap and again adds to the fun colliding and bouncing lumps of colour effect we aimed to achieve.

In our photos, the bike wasn’t quite fully cured so we of course didn’t re-stick the headbadge but we’ve mocked it up so you can see that there’s a lovely detail which looks to ‘colour in” the voids i the headbadge with colours matching the frame’s finish.

Full gloss clear and polish as we love to do.

We’d ride this one.
